Improve Integrity of Online Exams?
Client Side Application
On the start of exam the candidate is required to start the app which opens in the default browser and check for webcam availability. If available it will ask permission from the user to take random snaps. Upon confirmation the webcam will take random snaps in the background without any indication to user. The default interval is 2 minutes for exam but you can customize it from admin panel. So every 2 minutes random webcam shots and screenshots will be taken and sent to cloud storage to avoid any tampering by the user. The user can pause or stop the app anytime.
Server Side Application
The students or online exam candidates are handled here. The server will have all the records of online exam candidates along with their data. You can add, edit and update records here. All the images and screenshots are stored in the respective folders of the candidates. We create a custom dashboard to manage the photos and screenshots. All the candidates are listed with respective data, date/time of exam the photos and screenshots. You can process the data by AI which will perform the following.
More Faces
Our AI based face detection system will process the webcam images and check for more than one face. If more than one face is detected then the image will be marked and placed under multiple faces category. This section will provide you the number of images with multiple faces and at what time they were taken.
Impersonation
WDProctor will check the images to identify if the right candidate is taking the exam. Our high end Tensorflow driven facial recognition model train the candidate images initially to recognize if that is the right person taking the test. If the matching probability is below the threshold the images will be placed under stranger along with time for further scrutiny.
No Face
The online exam proctor system will also figure out if there is no face in a given image. These images are identified and categorized under the no face section. This doesn’t occur normally in an online exam situation; however we often find them on online classes.
Index Out of Bound
In some cases only partial faces are found. This will not be useful to determine either if it is a face or if it is the right person. The partial faces are moved under the Index out of Bound section. This happens when the candidates move in and out of their seats.
Screenshots
All the screenshots are available along with the time taken for cross reference. Thumbnails of screenshots are listed for every user with links to original images.
